My Little Photography is located at 199A Camberwell Road, Hawthorn East. The Studio sits in the heart of Melbourne’s east—just moments from Camberwell Junction, Burke Road and opposite the iconic Rivoli Cinema. It is just 6km from Melbourne’s CBD and surrounded by heritage charm, cosy cafés and restaurants, and family-friendly streets. It’s the perfect place for newborn photography sessions in Melbourne.
The studio is a cosy, calm space designed to feel like home. Soft natural light pours through large windows and is thoughtfully styled with warmth and simplicity. Every detail is considered to ensure you, and your family feel relaxed, cared for, and completely at ease.
It is a space where life-long family memories will be made and will be one of the first places you will take your precious Newborn. This is why the studio is equipped with everything needed for you and your family - a change table complete with nappies, wipes, blankets and other Newborn necessities. It is filled with soft wraps & blankets and delicate details - headbands, bonnets, props, backdrops, a curated client wardrobe. Complimentary refreshments and snacks are always available. You don't need to prepare anything - I have you all covered.

There is free 2-hour street parking available along Camberwell Road and the surrounding side streets. Please allow a little extra time to find a spot. Alternatively, there is all day undercover parking at Camberwell Place. This car park is managed by Nationwide and therefore parking fees apply. Please view their rates here.
Tram: Route 75 runs along Camberwell Road, with a stop just a short stroll from the studio.
Train: Camberwell Station (on the Belgrave/Lilydale/Alamein lines) is approximately a 7–10-minute walk away.

Your Enquiry
It all begins with a heartfelt enquiry—submitted through the website or social media. Once received, you’ll be sent the complete Pricing & Info. Guide straight to your inbox. If you don’t see it within the hour, be sure to check your junk or promotions folder—just in case it’s landed there by mistake.

BOOK YOUR SESSION
Once we’ve had a chat, we’ll schedule your session—typically between 7 to 14 days after your due date, depending on how you and your baby are feeling. You will then receive access to your personal client portal, where you’ll find your session fee invoice, contract, and questionnaire. To officially secure your booking, the deposit must be paid and contract electronically signed.

BEFORE your session
Once your session fee is paid in full and your contract has been signed electronically, your session date will be officially confirmed. Please complete your questionnaire at least 4 weeks before your session, so we can finalise all the little details—styling, wardrobe selections (if needed), and anything else to ensure your experience flows with ease. When your baby arrives, kindly let me know, just in case we need to adjust your session date. A reminder to read through this guide—it’s designed to help you & your family feel prepared, relaxed, & truly present on the day. Have any questions along the way, please reach out.

Your SESSION DAY
Your special day has arrived, and I’m so looking forward to welcoming you and your family to the studio. A calm, heartfelt session awaits—where every moment is gently guided, and your experience is as seamless as it is memorable.

AFTER YOUR SESSION
Your fully edited gallery will be ready for viewing approximately 4 to 5 weeks after your session. From there, you’ll choose the digital package you love, along with any optional albums, frames, prints, and any other products from the beautifully curated range of keepsakes. You will have 2 weeks, from the time you received your gallery, to choose your digital package.

YOUR KEEPSAKE
Your digital images will be available to download directly from your gallery and presented on a keepsake USB for safekeeping. Any products you’ve purchased will be prepared and packaged for delivery or ready for collection - ready to be treasured forever.

SESSION FEE
The session fee includes planning and preparation of your session, customised setups, props and the use of a stylish wardrobe (includes ladies & children garments). The session can take approximately 1 to 3 hours, depending on the type of session you choose. It is essentially a deposit which confirms your booking.
One standard fee for each session - Newborn, Maternity, Baby/Cake Smash or Family session.

When booking a Maternity & Newborn Session, the fee is reduced.

The session fee does not include any images.
There is a non-refundable amount of $200.
Rescheduling of session is available, if needed.

LADIES
No need to make any last-minute shopping trips for outfits. Our thoughtfully curated client wardrobe includes a beautiful selection of soft knits and wraps in a variety of tones for your Newborn, along with a range of stylish pieces for children—think shirts, t-shirts, chinos, shorts, dresses, and more in different sizes and timeless styles. Simply let me know your children's sizes, and I’ll send through some options for you to choose from.
Choose clean, neutral-toned outfits in colours that complement one another—think whites, beiges, creams, soft browns, and other earthy shades. We recommend avoiding patterns or visible logos, as they can draw attention away from the connection and emotion in your images.
TIP 2
Please ensure nails are clean and, if wearing nail polish, opt for soft, natural tones. Your hands often find their way into the frame in the most tender moments.
TIP 3
Hair should be neatly styled, and makeup kept fresh and natural, avoiding heavy or dramatic colours for a soft, classic look.

Shoe selection isn't necessary, as I generally photograph clients barefooted.
STYLING TIPS

PACK THE BABY BAG
- Dummy – If your Newborn takes one.
- Bottles & Formula – If you’re bottle feeding, please bring extra bottles along with formula or expressed milk. Your baby’s feeding routine may change on the day.
- Change of Clothes – Just in case of any little accidents.
- Nappies – I provide Huggies Newborn nappies, but you’re welcome to bring your preferred brand if needed.
- Wipes – Fragrance-free wipes are available in the studio, but feel free to bring your own if your baby has sensitivities.
- Have your outfit choices ready or at least an idea of what you, your partner, and children will wear. Please refer to 'What to Wear' in this document, if you are stuck on ideas.
- Plan ahead to allow enough time to leave the house and find street parking before your session. The studio is a short walk from the street.
- Dress your Newborn in a zip-up jumpsuit (no singlet underneath). Wrap baby in a blanket to keep warm if needed.
- Please avoid applying any creams, oils, or nappy balm on your baby’s face or body beforehand—even if they have dry or flaky skin—as these can be difficult to remove in editing and may affect fabrics and props.
- Time the last feed before you leave as a half feed—the rest will be completed at the studio. This encourages your Newborn to settle and sleep more easily during the session.

The studio is kept at a comfortable 25–28°C, creating a cosy environment that helps your Newborn feel relaxed and drift off to sleep—especially when undressed. Please note this temperature may feel a little warm for adults, so dressing in light layers is recommended.
Newborn sessions are gentle and unhurried, typically lasting 2 to 3 hours, depending on your baby’s needs. I work at your little one’s pace to ensure a calm and soothing experience.
We’ll begin with family and sibling portraits, including images of the whole family, siblings with the baby, and parent/baby combinations. This usually takes around 45 minutes to an hour, depending on how your children and Newborn are feeling on the day. After this, you’re welcome to relax and make yourself at home in the studio.
While I handle everything with your Newborn—including dressing, undressing, nappy changes, and soothing—I’ll only hand baby back for feeding or if they need a comforting cuddle from Mum. The rest is lovingly taken care of while I gently guide your baby into sleep and photograph them on their own.

SOME MORE HANDY TIPS
Chat with your children beforehand to prep them for a fun “modelling session.” You are welcome to bring along iPads, books, or toys to keep them entertained during the session.
TIP 2
Light refreshments (tea, coffee, water, biscuits) are provided. However, feel free to bring your own snacks or meals for yourselves and your child/ren.

It is ideal booking your newborn session with me as early as possible.
Generally, just after your 12 weeks scans and tests. Any later and you could miss out.
Newborns are best photographed between 6 to 14 days old. This is the age where we can capture all the beautiful, sleepy, and angelic images. Newborns at this age are also more content during the session. After 14 days, newborns can become more alert and sometimes this can interfere in capturing those gorgeous sleepy poses. While it is ideal that your newborn is between 6 to 14 days old, gorgeous photos can still be captured with older newborns.
- Dummy – if your newborn takes one.
- Bottles & Formula – if you are bottle feeding, bring extra bottles along with the formula/expressed milk.
- Change of clothes – just in case of any “accidents”.
- Nappies – I will provide you with Huggies newborn nappies. However, you are more than welcome to bring your own if these aren’t suitable for your newborn.
- Wipes – I will provide you with fragrance free wipes. However, you are more than welcome to bring your own if these aren’t suitable for your newborn.
- Bibs - Catching your newborns little milk spills.
If we need to settle your newborn, I have some handy tools to encourage sleep. The studio is also at a controlled temperature of approximately 25 to 28 degrees. This might seem quite warm for us adults but it's all about making your newborn as comfortable and relaxed as possible. Newborns are more comfortable in this environment and more likely to remain asleep, especially when they are not clothed. White noise and heartbeat sounds are also used throughout the session to further encourage sleep and replicate their familiar pre-birth environment. Extra feeds may also take place to ensure your newborn is full and content.
